Israeli Food

Israeli food is hands down some of the freshest food there is. There is always a fresh assortment of salads accompanying every meal – even for breakfast! Carrot salads, cabbage salads, basic cucumber tomatoes, and onion salads, beet salads, kohlrabi, and more. The veggies here are so fresh and delicious. What a pleasure to eat!
The most basic ingredients used in Israeli cuisine is lemon juice, olive oil and fresh herbs. Once these simple ingredients come together – miracles happen on your palate! Other very common staples are tahina (sesame seed paste), hummus and falafel (hands down the best you can find in the world!!), shawarma and pita bread. There you go – Israeli food in a few sentences. Just delicious.
I decided not take an official cooking course in Israel this time because I had the opportunity to cook so much in people homes – which I preferred anyway. Here are a few dishes that deserve mentioning:

Salads galore!!! My kind of food!! Aren't vegetables beautiful? :)

Hummus - the best in the world!

Falafel - once again, the best you can find in the world!

The very popular spice called Zatar is served with fresh bread either called Simit or Ka'ak. Delicious!

Dessert's

Always a great time trying new foods and creating new dishes!!! Taiem Maod (Very delicious in Hebrew!)
